Assembly occupancy is associated with a high occupant load. The Florida &
International Building Codes break this occupancy into (5)-Categories [A-1 thru
A-5]
- A-4: Arenas, Tennis Courts
- A-5: Stadiums, Grandstands
Assembly Design Requirements:
- Assembly occupancies are
associated with high cost for
fire code compliance due to
the high occupancy loads.
- Fire sprinklers, fire Alarms,
fire rated corridors, fire
separation, etc can all be
required.
- With high occupancy loads
also requires larger
bathrooms, HVAC systems,
septic systems, parking
spaces, etc.
